When a death occurs

What should I do first when a loved one dies?

Stay calm and call Libintia Caja at 0991-575-5797 or 0906-623-1140. If the death happened in a hospital, the attending physician will issue the medical certificate of death. If it happened at home, we will guide you on having the death certified. Our team will then arrange the transfer of your loved one into our care.

Can you pick up my loved one from the hospital or our home?

Yes. We handle the transfer of remains from homes and hospitals in General Santos City, and we deliver your loved one to the wake and later to the place of interment.

I am a plan member. What should my family do when I pass away?

Your family should contact the LCMC office immediately. They should have your registry number ready, if possible. Members pay only the interment fee upon pick-up or delivery.

What documents are needed for the burial?

The death certificate must be registered with the Local Civil Registry of General Santos City, and a burial permit is needed before interment. Our team will explain the process and help your family prepare.

Do you serve families outside General Santos City?

Yes. We serve every barangay of General Santos City and nearby towns such as Alabel and Maasim in Sarangani and Polomolok in South Cotabato. Our funeral packages are exclusive to General Santos City, so families outside the city receive a quote for our services, and interment outside Gensan carries additional charges depending on the location. Love Your Neighbor Program

How does the Love Your Neighbor Program work?

Members pay a membership fee and an advance for two cadavers. After that, each time a member or beneficiary in the program passes away, members make a small contribution for themselves and for each of their beneficiaries. In return, a member can avail of a complete funeral service package immediately upon death.

How many beneficiaries can I name?

Each member may name up to three (3) beneficiaries. Beneficiaries cannot be added after the application form is submitted, but changes and removals are allowed through a formal letter to the LCMC office.

How can I pay my contributions?

You can choose to pay monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually. Every payment is recorded in your member ledger, and you can ask our office for your records anytime by phone or Messenger.

What happens when my contributions reach the full package value?

Your funeral service package becomes fully paid and you receive a certificate of fulfillment. Your remaining beneficiaries will still pay the interment fee when they avail of their package.

How much is the membership fee?

Please call 0991-575-5797 or visit our office in Rosadel Village, Lanton, Apopong for the current membership fee and interment rate.

Assistance and payments

Can you help us with DSWD and SSS burial assistance?

Yes. We accept DSWD and SSS burial assistance for packages worth ₱45,000 and above. Ask us about our assisted packages. We prepare the funeral home documents commonly required, such as the statement of account, certification of balance and official receipts, and explain where to file your claims.

Do you offer flexible payment arrangements?

We understand that a death can come at a difficult time. Please talk to our team about your situation. Payment arrangements, such as a promissory note, may be available subject to approval.

Are there cases with additional charges?

Additional preparation charges may apply in special cases, such as accidents, suicide or advanced decomposition. We will always explain any extra charge to the family first.
